Admission to Foxdale Village involves a number of steps over a period of time. The procedure stated here is subject to change at any time by Foxdale Village, and this statement does not constitute a formal agreement.

Foxdale Village offers residences for independent, active persons aged 65 and over (for couples at least one must be 65) who are in good physical and mental health. Residents are expected to be able to live independently and to attend to their own personal needs at the time of entry. Admission to Foxdale Village is open to all applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, familial status, ancestry, gender, sexual orientation, religion, handicap, or disability. We encourage you to come to State College for a personal visit with a staff member and a tour of the site and facilities of Foxdale Village.

A person or couple who wishes to be considered for residency at Foxdale should first register for the priority list by completing a Priority List Agreement, and submitting it along with a check for $1,200. Of this amount, $1,000 is a refundable priority list deposit and $200 is a non-refundable registration fee. This places the applicant's name on the waiting list (priority list) to be considered for entry. Being on the priority list does not guarantee admission, which is contingent upon a medical and financial evaluation at the time of entry. Names are placed on the waiting list in order of the date on which the Priority List Agreement and deposit are received. Applicants on the priority list are expected to keep Foxdale informed of the earliest date they would be ready to move into the Village.

Upon the applicant's request, Foxdale Village will initiate the entry admissions procedure some months before the anticipated date of availability of an apartment. Foxdale will send the applicant the following forms:

Medical Record Parts I & II Personal review of health history and medications as well and physical exam.

Supplementary Baseline Medical Information

Resident's Financial Information Disclosure of assets and income for current and future expenses at Foxdale.

Resident's Personal History Social history, family relationships, vocations, applicant's expectations of the community and of the move.

Upon completion of the above forms, Foxdale will schedule an admission interview. Entrance to the community is approved by the Admissions Committee of the Board of Directors.
