- Anthony House is a 32 private bed licensed nursing care unit located at the Foxdale Village Retirement Community. It is designed to meet the needs of those who require around-the-clock nursing and medical supervision. With this in mind, Anthony House offers 24-hour professional nursing services, physician care on a regular basis by our Medical Director and on-site Health Office, pharmaceutical services, and a range of therapeutic interventions to assist with maintaining or improving a resident's level of functioning. These include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language, as well as other therapeutic activities.
Individual care is provided in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. The
private rooms, equipped with their own private bathrooms, are bright
and spacious. They are attractively furnished and allow for personalization
by one's own belongings.
A unique aspect of Anthony House is its physical connection to the Foxdale
Village Community Center. Residents can remain a part of the mainstream
of life due to the accessibility of services provided there. These include
Omega Bank, a beauty salon/barber shop, a resident-operated gift shop,
a library, auditorium, and coffee shop. If a resident is physically
able, family members may escort him/her to the Community Center for
meals or to use the other available services.
As is the philosophy of all health care at Foxdale, our focus is encouraging
an optimal level of health and independence for our residents in a restraint-free
environment. Foxdale Village believes that any form of restraint may
be an assault on the dignity and the physical and emotional well being
of its residents. It is with this belief that in administering safe
and humane care, we explore every option available to provide individualized
care without the use of restraints.
Foxdale's Anthony House accepts residents on the basis of physical needs
and financial qualifications without regard to race, color, creed, handicap,
or national origin. Our concern is for our residents to be happy with
their health care and their living environment. We welcome families
and potential residents to ask questions. Additional information, including
our fees, can be provided upon request.
