White Bird (2023) – Multicultural Film Festival

This powerful story of courage follows a grandmother recounting her WWII survival in Nazi-occupied Germany, sheltered by a brave family and their son. As the children create a magical world, they also find first love, while the boy’s mother risks everything to protect them. Based on R.J. Palacio’s graphic novel, the film stars Gillian Anderson and Helen Mirren. (2hrs., PG-13)
