Moving to Foxdale

Foxdale Village offers residential living for seniors 62 and over. Admission is open to all applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, familial status, ancestry, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, handicap, or disability.

You are encouraged to meet with a Residency Planning counselor to learn more about Foxdale as well as visit us for a tour and to meet some of our residents. When you decide living at Foxdale Village will be part of your future, we recommend you join our Priority List. As a member of our Priority List, you will receive invitations to special events and dining experiences at Foxdale. It is also a way to “save a place in line” and have priority when you are finally ready to make the move. The Priority List requires a $1,000 deposit, a $200 administrative fee and a completed Priority List Agreement. Joining the Priority List does not guarantee admission to Foxdale. Our admissions process will include both a financial assessment and medical assessment. As you plan for your future, we encourage you to contact Residency Planning at (814) 272-2146 and talk with us.

Contracts and Fees

Foxdale Village offers two contract types: Lifecare and Fee-for-Service. Both require payment of a one-time entry fee and an ongoing monthly fee. Fees are based on the size of the residence, number of residents and contract type.

Our Lifecare contract is the predominant contract at Foxdale Village. A portion of both the Lifecare entry fee and monthly fees are designated for future health care so that, when you need it, it’s provided at substantially reduced rates. The first 90 days of temporary care (per episode) are provided at no additional charge. Because you are pre-paying for health care with Lifecare, a portion of both your entry fee and ongoing monthly fees can be claimed on your tax return as a medical expense (lifetime care), even before you are receiving care. Consult your tax or financial advisor to determine your eligibility based on your individual situation.

The Fee-for-Service contract reduces the entry fee and monthly fees while you are living in a cottage or apartment, but requires you to pay the full published daily rate (per diem) when and if you use health care on either a temporary or permanent basis.

Both contracts provide access to vibrant community offerings and activities, high-quality health care services, and amenities including housekeeping, home maintenance, wellness programs and a great deal more.

Please contact Residency Planning to discuss which of these options may be right for you.
